Who We Are ~ Humble ~ Veterans

Carolina Veterans Commission, (CVC) was founded in 2008 and incorporated in 2009. CVC is a forward thinking, results driven, 501(c)3 not-for-profit, charitable organization that believes sharing information with our Veteran community will lead to increased positive outcomes.

Our organization is the catalyst for attaining successful outcomes for Veterans that have been injured or have become homeless and in need. Our Volunteer Veterans staff of 22, educates and increases the awareness of homeless Veterans throughout the nation, while providing informative resources, independent living assistance and literacy/wellness education.

Our efforts support the surrounding counties wherever CVC’s talented Volunteers are located. Carolina Veterans Commission believes in Veterans. Our organization’s number one priority is helping Veterans. CVC encourages Veterans to help each other. We advise Veterans who have not currently enrolled in the Veterans Affairs (VA) system to enroll and inform Veterans of VA and non-VA programs available to assist them.

CVC fosters communication amongst Veterans through publications, stand down functions, fundraisers, meetings, seminars and conferences. We offer immediate referral services to Veterans in need of assistance such as food and shelter. Carolina Veterans Commission provides training to ALL that have a passion to assist in their local communities to support Veterans. Our volunteers address community development issues, revitalization and housing rehabilitation initiatives for Veterans through cost-effective designs and by seeking out experts in various fields for successful program implementation. CVC utilizes counseling, classroom sessions, seminars, video/web-based training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one contact with clients to assist individuals and families.

We provide education and training that will enable our clients to develop a spending plan/budget, understand credit  and credit scores, and how to read credit files. Our efforts are accomplished through joint ventures and partnerships between public agencies, municipalities, community development corporations, for-profit developers and lenders, investors, and government-sponsored entities.
